Bioborn from this solitude
a child alone
but the wild rain
glorifies my existence
forsaken heavy rains
rain for days
remembering nothing
but rain
and me
soaked clean by
the tears of God
dripping cool isolation
soaked in the palm of his hand
rehearsing for the day I die
when I will no longer hear the rain
nor thank God for
its washing me this clean
for I will be happy at his feet
I lie
still awake listening to the rain
trying to die
blessed by the dead
helpless among the living
helpless as cold water
sliding down a mountainside
not a lonely child
weary
hoping against fate
to simply dissolve in the wild rain
like the people I have loved
left me here with
nothing but a love of death
the perfect love even
I cannot disappoint
